<\/div>\nFrom Mickey macarons to ghostly turkey legs, these Disneyland Halloween treats and eats are spooktacularly delicious and fun to eat! This Disneyland Halloween food guide will tell you everything you need to know about which treats to eat and which treats are more tricks than treats!<\/p>\n I challenged myself (plus my sister, brother, and nephew) to try ALLLLLL the seasonal foods available at Disneyland Resort this year for Halloween Time, including the treats at Grand Californian Hotel.<\/p>\n It took us just over two days and a lot of walking, but we did it. And I\u2019m here to tell you which Disneyland Halloween food items \u2013 both Disneyland Halloween treats and drinks you have to try and which ones you can skip.<\/p>\n And buckle up because Disney is offering a TON of new Halloween food items this year! Plus all sorts of other Disneyland Halloween Time fun! <\/p>\n If you want real reviews from people who really ate the food, then this is the Disneyland Halloween foodie guide for you. Just be warned, these are opinions so if someone else disagrees, that\u2019s their right. We don\u2019t all agree on food so if you think something sounds good, feel free to try it anyway even if it\u2019s on my skip list.<\/p>\n This year I\u2019ve added ratings to each of the items that we tried in the parks. In general if something is a 7 or higher, it\u2019s totally worth getting. If it\u2019s a 5 or higher, it\u2019s worth getting if it\u2019s something you really like (like pumpkin for instance).<\/p>\n If it\u2019s below a 5, I personally wouldn\u2019t get it with so many other\u00a0Disneyland food\u00a0items to try! And the few things that are a 3 or lower, don\u2019t say I didn\u2019t warn you if you decide not to get them!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Everyone always asks me what are the foods that I have to try during the Halloween season at Disneyland (and Disney California Adventure) so I\u2019m going to start with that quick list of what I consider the best of the best and my must-try list! <\/p>\n Read the entire post for details on each of these items plus my reviews (and pictures!) on all of the food available in both Disney parks in California! <\/p>\n Oh and also, this does not include the speciality items only available during Oogie Boogie Bash \u2013 you\u2019ll have to read my Oogie Boogie Bash guide to see those! <\/p>\n Okay now that we\u2019ve gotten the top list out of the way, let\u2019s get into all the goodies! This is a full list of all the Halloween food available at Disneyland Park and my thoughts on it all \u2013 starting with the good stuff. <\/p>\n If you\u2019re wanting ice cream, this is a great option during Disneyland Halloween time. It\u2019s rocky road ice cream (or your choice of flavors \u2013 we got mint chocolate chip) topped with Oreo cookie crumbles, gummy worms, and a chocolate tombstone. All of that is served in a chocolate coated waffle bowl.<\/p>\n It\u2019s simple, straightforward, and very tasty. But what basic bowl of ice cream bowl is not? It\u2019s not particularly unique, but if you want ice cream, this gives you everything you want without some weird add-ons. Just watch out \u2013 the chocolate bowl melts quickly in the heat. <\/p>\n Rating 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n This dark berry and cherry punch was easily our favorite drink out of the Halloween drinks, but that\u2019s not hard considering how bad some of the drinks were this year.<\/p>\n That being said \u2013 this was actually delicious and we all highly recommend with one caveat. Disney chose to add ginger to the mixture and that ginger has a kick. When I asked the cast member about it, she said it\u2019s made to bite back (like a vampire I guess). <\/p>\n So while this one is delicious, it may not be for the kids. I think my kids would love it without the ginger but the ginger really does hit the back of your throat enough that my boys would probably both say it\u2019s too spicy. <\/p>\n Rating 9\/10 <\/strong>(it would\u2019ve been an easy 10 without the ginger) <\/p>\n I\u2019ve always been a big fan of grey stuff (you can get a copycat grey stuff recipe here!) and the grave stuff they normally have for Halloween. They switched it up to be the pumpkin stuff this year and I hope it\u2019s the only year they do it.<\/p>\n The grave stuff was one of my favorites \u2013 the pumpkin stuff is one of my least. <\/p>\n Rating 5\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n I really like all of the flavors that were included in this flatbread \u2013 butternut squash, mushrooms, and feta \u2013 but somehow this totally fell flat. No one in our group liked it enough to finish more than half of the flatbread and that\u2019s saying something. <\/p>\n I\u2019d skip this and go with something else if you\u2019re looking for something savory! <\/p>\n Rating 4\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n Galactic Grill can be hit and miss with their parfaits, but I thought this one was a hit! A Star Wars inspired parfait full of layers of chocolate pudding, red velvet sponge cake, chocolate mousse, and crushed Oreos \u2013 everything worked well together plus it was cute! <\/p>\n Rating 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n This macaron wasn\u2019t quite as cute as some of the alien macarons in the past but it was definitely tastier. It looks like a Buzz alien and is filled with berries and cream \u2013 a great combination in pretty much all scenarios including this one. <\/p>\n None of the macarons are anywhere near as good as the raspberry rose macaron, another one on my best Disneyland food list!<\/p>\n Rating 7\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n I was really excited about this one because it\u2019s so cute and Jolly Holiday normally makes really good macarons. But somehow year after year they make Halloween macarons that just aren\u2019t great.<\/p>\n This year was no different with a super cute Mickey Jack-O-Lantern design but the filling just wasn\u2019t our favorite. It probably would\u2019ve been okay with just the caramel but the caramel and pumpkin together was a miss. <\/p>\n Rating 5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n A few years back they did a chocolate bundt cake that was delicious. This year\u2019s spiced bundt cake was just okay. The biggest problem was that the cake itself was dense and there was very little filling in the middle to give it the moisture it needed. <\/p>\n If they added more filling this would probably be a seven and worth trying but as it\u2019s currently being made, it\u2019s a five and not great. <\/p>\n Rating 5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n Disneyland continues to try to make mini cheesecakes and every year I\u2019m highly disappointed by them. This year\u2019s caramel apple cheesecake had somewhat of a grainy texture to the supposed to be smooth filling and the flavor just wasn\u2019t there. <\/p>\n I\u2019d skip this one for sure. There are much better things to eat. <\/p>\n Rating 3\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n There were mixed opinions on this one from our group of four who tried it. My nephew thought it was great. I thought it was good but not great (but I don\u2019t love apples). And my sister thought it was good but wished it hadn\u2019t been almond. <\/p>\n You can\u2019t see it in my picture below but the inside is cut open and filled with apple filling and apple chunks \u2013 that\u2019s what makes this an apple almond croissant! <\/p>\n So if you like almonds and you like apples, I\u2019d say this is one to try to get something not quite as sweet and brightly colored as some of the other Halloween treats! And then try these apple pie cups because they\u2019re delicious too! <\/p>\n Rating 7\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n I was excited when I read the description of this because I thought it was going to be some sort of brownie tart but it\u2019s not. It\u2019s basically a pop-tart filled with chocolate filling and topped with chocolate frosting and sprinkles.<\/p>\n It\u2019s okay but it\u2019s not nearly as good as one of my favorite Disney World snacks, the tarts in Toy Story Land. Oh and they\u2019re really big \u2013 definitely shareable!<\/p>\n Rating 6\/10<\/strong> <\/p>\n If you like pumpkin muffins, this is really good one. If you don\u2019t like pumpkin, you can probably skip it. But it\u2019s moist, flavorful, and topped with a delicious cream cheese frosting. <\/p>\n It was one of my favorites a few years ago and I was excited to see it back. It\u2019s definitely a nice option if you want something that\u2019s sweet but not too sweet!<\/p>\n Rating 8\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n My nephew\u2019s literal reaction when he took a bite of this sandwich was holy wow. He almost went to the kitchen to find out the secret to making this so good. <\/p>\n The sandwich is filled with marinated beef, grilled onion, mozzarella, and kimchi aioli and the three people who tried it (I did not because of the onions) said it was easily one of the best things they tried our entire trip. And the corn cheese soup was the perfect addition. <\/p>\n The sandwich and soup combo together was one of the only things that got a perfect 10 from our crew. Definitely try this one out. <\/p>\n Rating 10\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n Disney makes the best corn dogs so a corn dog topped with blueberry compote and bacon powdered sugar sounded pretty intriguing to me. <\/p>\n Unfortunately, it just wasn\u2019t for us. I don\u2019t know if it we just got a not great corn dog or what but it tasted different than the normal freshly dipped corn dogs and the whole thing just felt a bit soggy. Also, I never would\u2019ve known it was a bacon powdered sugar if I didn\u2019t read that description. <\/p>\n I\u2019d go with a standard corn dog or a cheese stick instead!<\/p>\n Rating 6\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n Mickey beignets and a mint julep are always a good choice no matter what time of year you go. The big question is always do you go with the seasonal option (in this case tangy apple) or the regular ones. <\/p>\n I think either would be a good choice right now because honestly the tangy apple don\u2019t really taste much like apple to me. <\/p>\n And either one would be good in the caramel dipping sauce that\u2019s available right now and the sleeper hit of these options. So get a pack of beignets, dip them in caramel sauce, and wash them down with a mint julep! <\/p>\n Rating 8\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n Disney\u2019s filled pretzels are a must-try. My favorite are the cream cheese filled pretzels but I know other people love the jalapeno filled one<\/p>\n This particular supernova pretzel is for those jalapeno spice loving people because it\u2019s that base topped with basically crumbled up Hot Cheetos. My siblings loved it and ate every bite. <\/p>\n Rating 8\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n One of my new favorite Disneyland snacks gets a protein upgrade with the addition of a brat to the cheesy bread. If you haven\u2019t tried the cheesy garlic pretzel bread yet, it\u2019s a must-try. <\/p>\n And if you want some added protein and want to pay an extra $5, the brat is a decent addition. Everyone else enjoyed this one as well though we were torn on whether to get the Halloween brat version or just the regular and save the money. <\/p>\n Rating 8\/10<\/strong> (with the brat \u2013 10\/10 without)<\/p>\n This one looked good, sounded good, and even smelled good. But unfortunately it was pretty flavorless, which made it not good at all. I\u2019d skip it unless they fix something and add flavor! <\/p>\n Rating 5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n This was another one of those Disneyland Halloween treats that looked much better than it tasted. It was kind of soggy, flavorless, and just not great.<\/p>\n This was on our don\u2019t waste your money on this list and there weren\u2019t too many of those! <\/p>\n Rating 4\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n This sounded so good, especially on a hot day. And I love frozen hot chocolate so I had really high hopes.<\/p>\n But it was weird. It was thicker kind of like a chocolate milkshake but on ice like a glass of chocolate milk. My brother described it as like a thin chocolate pudding. <\/p>\n Needless to say, we didn\u2019t love it. I wanted either a chocolate milkshake or chocolate milk but not a combo of the two. <\/p>\n Rating 5\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n Hot Cheetos topped with nacho cheese and jalapeno coins. If you like those ingredients, you\u2019ll love these. My brother did. If you don\u2019t, you won\u2019t. Simple enough.<\/p>\n Rating 8\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n These were really yummy when dipped in the cream cheese dipping sauce. Without the sauce, they were a bit dry. And either way, they didn\u2019t taste much like pumpkin spice to me.<\/p>\n But if you\u2019re in for dipping them in the frosting, these are worth trying! And there\u2019s typically no line because I think people just forget this restaurant exists. <\/p>\n Rating 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n People love funnel cakes at Disney. I am not people. Neither are my family members apparently because this was not good and most funnel cakes I\u2019ve had at Disney are not good.<\/p>\n A funnel cake should be fresh and crispy. This was soggy and then topped with more soggy stuff. The flavors on their own would\u2019ve been find but on a soggy funnel cake, this was one of our least favorites out of everything we tried. <\/p>\n Rating 3\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n Tiana\u2019s Palace is one of the newest quick serve restaurants at Disneyland and while I think the food is good, I personally am not in love with the beignets. The regular lemon filled one is just okay.<\/p>\n This strawberry pie-filled one is better but still not my personal favorite. But the rest of our crew enjoyed it more than the lemon one \u2013 but not as much as the Mickey beignets at Mint Julep Bar. I thought the filling needed more flavor! <\/p>\n Rating 6\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n My biggest problem with Tropical Hideaway is always that they don\u2019t do mobile orders and the line is super long. So you have to decide whether their seasonal offerings are worth standing in line or not.<\/p>\n The verdict is still out on whether the Monstroplis Float is worth the wait. We really liked it but we didn\u2019t like the thirty minute wait to get it so our opinions are a little soured. That being said, the combo of the pineapple and passion fruit is delicious \u2013 just know there will likely be a wait.<\/p>\n If there\u2019s no wait, definitely try this one!<\/p>\n Rating 8\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n This month\u2019s flavor for Daisy\u2019s donuts is apple cider and they\u2019re pretty good, especially if you get them warm and fresh. They have nothing on fresh apple cider donuts from an apple orchard but they\u2019ll do for donuts at a theme park!<\/p>\n Rating 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n Okay, enough about Disneyland Park! Some of my absolute favorite treats were actually only available in Disney\u2019s California Adventure so make sure to take some time to eat there too! <\/p>\n We spent a few hours in DCA before Oogie Boogie Bash, and I wish we\u2019d had more time to actually enjoy all the fun Halloween decorations, shows, and more! <\/p>\n If you like kid-friendly drinks like flavored lemonades, Disneyland really knocked it out of the park this year. This Oogie Boogie apple lemonade reminds me of one I\u2019ve tried before during some other event (can\u2019t remember exactly when), and I\u2019m really glad they brought it back.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a little sweet, a little tart, and perfectly refreshing. Oh and of course, it comes with fun floating bobas \u2013 drink those through one of the large straws for not only a great drink, but a fun experience. <\/p>\n Rating 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n I have yet to try a bad bread pudding from Aunt Cass Cafe (or the formerly named Pacific Wharf Cafe). They have it down to an art and this purple taro version was a really strong one. It\u2019s not mushy, the flavor is subtle but there, and it really just worked well. <\/p>\n Rating 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n So as my brother put it, this is pretty much a meat lovers pizza with some sprinkles of spicy stuff on the crust. The description says it\u2019s a mango-habanero sauce with spicy sausage, pepperoni, and chicken drizzled with ranch dressing but we really only got the spice on the crust.<\/p>\n Either way it was a tasty option when you\u2019re craving something savory and want to stick with the spicy Halloween theme.<\/p>\n Rating 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n There\u2019s a new version of this for 2024 that is drizzled with dulce de leche and topped with cream cheese frosting. We didn\u2019t get a chance to try it but if it\u2019s anything like the one in the past (pictured below), it\u2019s worth trying! <\/p>\n Rating 6\/10 <\/strong><\/p>\n If you\u2019re going to get a cookie at Num Num cookies, get the actual Num Num cookie. Or make my copycat Num Num cookie. The Jack Jack shortbread Halloween one isn\u2019t bad, it\u2019s just messy, and not nearly as good at the Num Num cookie.<\/p>\n And when I say messy, I mean messy. The decorations on the outside melt and get all over the place if you don\u2019t get it very fast and sometimes even when you do! <\/p>\n Rating 5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n This is another returning Halloween treat, and I can see why they brought it back. It\u2019s a simple sundae full of delicious flavors like mint chocolate chip, hot fudge, and whipped cream all together. <\/p>\n And then it gets topped with a witch hat waffle cone \u2013 it\u2019s a winner if you are looking for something other than just a standard ice cream cone! My only complaint is that when it\u2019s hot out, the witch hat melts and makes a big mess!<\/p>\n Rating 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n This was a simple float that looked better than it tasted. I know what they were going for with the orange Fanta soda, yellow mango sorbet, and white whipped cream on top \u2013 but the flavors just didn\u2019t combine that well. I would\u2019ve preferred the Fanta with vanilla ice cream personally. <\/p>\n Rating 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n This one was interesting because it wasn\u2019t available on mobile order for me ever and there\u2019s no picture on the sign so people often forget it\u2019s even an option.<\/p>\n But don\u2019t sleep on this cake, just realize that what you\u2019re getting isn\u2019t really lava cake \u2013 it\u2019s more just a regular chocolate cake served with a delicious berry (strawberry and raspberries) and vanilla ice cream. It was a hit with our entire group once we got over the no lava part. <\/p>\n Rating 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n We tried this one last year and it was surprisingly good \u2013 much better than the blueberry version they\u2019re serving at the Little Red Wagon this year. <\/p>\n If you want to mix up your corn dog choices this year and like spicy stuff, this one is worth trying out. <\/p>\n Rating 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n This was awful. Spit out and throw away awful. <\/p>\n I don\u2019t need to say much else other than please don\u2019t waste your money on this. I guess if you have to choose between this and the cucumber jalapeno lemonade, this is better than that but they\u2019re both bad. <\/p>\n Rating 2\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n There are two different Halloween ice cream options available \u2013 an ube soft-serve with black sprinkles or an ube + vanilla swirl soft serve with black sprinkles We chose the all ube variety and were surprised by how much we liked it with its mild ube flavor. <\/p>\n Rating 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n If you like a little heat and already a fan of the mac and cheese cone from Cozy Cone Motel, then you\u2019ll likely enjoy this one as well. I\u2019m not a huge spicy person and it was too spicy for me but still probably only spice level mild or medium. <\/p>\n The flavors are good if you want spicy. If not, just stick with the regular mac and cheese cone.<\/p>\n Rating 7\/10<\/strong> (8 if you like spicy) <\/p>\n I already mentioned this above but this was another drank one sip and couldn\u2019t drink another drink. All four of us agreed this was just terrible. <\/p>\n It was one of the only things we tried that we gave a 1 so that should tell you something. <\/p>\n Rating 1\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n This is another returning favorite from Disneyland Halloween Times in the past and a great choice. There are two options \u2013 corn rolled in a choice of cotija (kind of like elote) or in spicy crushed Hot Cheetos. <\/p>\n They\u2019re both delicious and highly recommended! <\/p>\n Rating 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n Can I petition Disney to stop trying out cucumber lemonades? They\u2019re not my favorite, even if this one did include mint, making it at least palatable for me. I\u2019d much rather they go back to the strawberry lavender lemonade they made a few years back! <\/p>\n My other family members who don\u2019t mind cucumber said this one was okay, not their favorite but drinkable at least. Well, if they\u2019d give you a large straw for drinking the blueberries! <\/p>\n Rating 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n I can\u2019t really rate this because well it\u2019s good and super cute of course but it\u2019s also a just a loaf of sour dough bread that looks like Mickey. I don\u2019t think you need me to tell you what it\u2019s going to taste like so just decide if you need vampire Mickey bread or not. <\/p>\n I\u2019ve always really enjoyed the regular drumsticks from Poultry Palace and these Halloween chipotle ones are a really good variety for people who want a little added spice and heat to their meal. <\/p>\n They were too much for me (I\u2019m not a spicy person) but my siblings both really enjoyed them!<\/p>\n Rating 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n There are two different milkshakes at Schmoozies this year \u2013 a coconut and taro shake that looks like Ursula and a Mickey Mouse chocolate mummy shake.<\/p>\n We were split on who liked which one most, so I\u2019ll just say that both are worth trying depending on what flavor profile you prefer. They were both well made, had a beautiful presentation, and had really good flavor.<\/p>\n I\u2019ve had some so-so milkshakes from Schmoozies but these were both very good. <\/p>\n Taro Rating<\/strong> \u2013 6\/10 & Mummy Rating \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n Churros get their own section in my post because there are so many different Halloween churros to try. Luckily, there were only two new ones but still \u2013 there are churro options on pretty much every corner! <\/p>\n Also, I didn\u2019t give the churros a rating because here\u2019s the deal \u2013 churros can often be delicious or destroyed based on how well the churro is cooked. If the flavor combinations seem interested to you, try it out. <\/p>\n The Malificient churro aka chocolate cookie crumble churro is one of my personal favorite churros because it tastes different than just a normal churro. Add it to the peanut butter dipping sauce that\u2019s available here as well and this one\u2019s a winner! <\/p>\n If you like peanut butter and chocolate together, make sure to try out these Disney Butterfinger cupcakes too! <\/p>\n This was a weird combination for us. Pistachio, matcha, chocolate sauce and almonds all together was just hard to make work with so much going on. Also, the churro itself just wasn\u2019t cooked very well so it was a miss for us.<\/p>\n This churro had so much potential with things that we all love \u2013 peanut butter sugar, Reese\u2019s Pieces, and chocolate sauce. And I don\u2019t know if we just got a poorly cooked churro or what, but it just wasn\u2019t great. I\u2019d rather eat my Reese\u2019s Pieces cookies any day. <\/p>\n This was the favorite out of all of the churros that we tried during our most recent visit. The apple coating was sweet, the churro was well cooked, and granny smith icing was tart enough to complement the sweet churro.<\/p>\n This one is a returning churro for a reason and I hope it sticks around.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re one of those pumpkin spice loving people, this churro might be for you. I personally don\u2019t love the combo of the pumpkin flavor, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and icing together. But I know there are people out there who love it so it\u2019s worth a shot. if you really like pumpkin!<\/p>\n A classic churro gets rolled in a sweet and sour green apple sugar (that I personally loved by the way) and served with a caramel dipping sauce. This was an easy yes for. me last time they had it (drizzled with caramel instead of as a dipping sauce), and I\u2019m glad they brought it back.<\/p>\n You can either choose to get a classic churro dressed in vanilla and sugar (bride) or dark and milk chocolate (groom). Both are tasty, but I prefer the dark chocolate one. And if you want to get really fancy, you can get them with strawberry sauce and wedding cake crumbles on top! <\/p>\n There are a bunch of things that you can find throughout both parks in outdoor vendor carts. They get their own section because this year there are two standouts that we personally think are a must-try!<\/p>\n The first is the ghost pepper turkey leg. It\u2019s a standard Disneyland turkey leg (delicious on its own) but then it\u2019s been dipped in a ghost pepper sauce. <\/p>\n This one is big enough to easily share and if someone doesn\u2019t like the ghost pepper sauce, they can still enjoy the inside because it really doesn\u2019t taint the inside at all. <\/p>\n This was one of the only things in the parks my nephew gave a 10 and my brother was still craving at the end of the day. And they both said it was the best turkey leg they\u2019d ever had! <\/p>\n Rating 9\/10<\/strong> (but only because it\u2019s super messy to eat)<\/p>\n This was one of the first things we tried in the parks and surprisingly delicious. The combination of the savory garlic flavor with the sweet cream cheese was perfect and we easily could have eaten another one of these if we weren\u2019t eating our way through everything on the Halloween food menu! <\/p>\n Rating 9\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n I don\u2019t even know how to describe this other than to tell you that my sister called it the pregnancy pickle (because it was like a bunch of pregnancy cravings all at once). <\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.playpartyplan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/disneyland-halloween-food-cover-image-800x533.jpg\"\/)
