And I should know \u2013 I\u2019ve been a Magic Key holder for the past five years and tried EVERYTHING Disneyland has to offer! Seriously, everything. <\/p>\n

Best of the Best Disneyland Food<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

If you only have a small budget or a short amount of time, here are the things you have to try during your next visit to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park.<\/p>\n

These are things that are unique to Disneyland or maybe not unique but so good at Disneyland that you have to try them. You\u2019ve never think a corndog would make a best food at Disneyland list unless you\u2019ve tried Disneyland corndogs and then you understand.<\/p>\n

And there\u2019s only one item (Dole Whip) on the list that also falls on my best Disney World snacks list<\/a>, so even if you\u2019re a Walt Disney World veteran, these may be new to you as well!<\/p>\n

So you better add stretchy pants to your Disney packing list<\/a> because you\u2019re going to want to try it all!<\/p>\n

      Now that we\u2019ve gotten the best of the best list out of the way, here comes the full list of delicious Disneyland food! This includes full descriptions of the items above as well as other favorites from throughout the parks! <\/p>\n

      And p.s., drinks are not included on this list, they\u2019re going to get a post all their own because Disneyland has some really fun drink options that deserve some attention including an amazing mocktail menu at Lamplight Lounge. Disney drinks even inspired by Thanksgiving punch<\/a>! <\/p>\n

      As with any list of food, these are my opinions on what\u2019s the best. <\/p>\n

      You could ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers, but I\u2019ll try my best to give it to you straight so you can make a decision on what\u2019s worth your money. <\/p>\n

      What\u2019s On This List?<\/h2>\n

      This list only includes things that are available year round because Disneyland changes their seasonal menus so often that this post would be out of date tomorrow if I included all of the seasonal items! I do have specific seasonal posts too.       Best Food in Disneyland Park<\/h2>\n

      Let\u2019s start it off with the food you\u2019ll find in Disneyland Park then we\u2019ll move on to California Adventure. I\u2019ve broken this out by section of the park starting on Main Street U.S.A, then moving around clockwise ending in Tomorrowland. <\/p>\n

      This by no means is intended to be an eating plan, just a break down to tell you where the snacks and sweets are in the park!<\/p>\n

      Disneyland Food: Main Street, U.S.A.<\/h2>\n

      Main Street is comprised of a bunch of restaurants, shops, and the walkway leading up to the castle in the middle of the park. It\u2019s also the site of some great sweets and larger snack options for when you get hungry for a real meal!<\/p>\n

      Hand Dipped Corn Dogs at The Little Red Wagon<\/b> <\/h3>\n

      I can\u2019t even begin to describe these corn dogs. People told me they were amazing, but I still didn\u2019t expect a hot dog dipped in mounds and mounds of the most delicious corn bread. I\u2019m pretty sure I had two full corn dogs worth of corn bread on my first one with a hot dog tucked somewhere in side. You could probably share one but don\u2019t, you won\u2019t want to let it go.<\/p>\n

      Even if you\u2019re not a fan of corn dogs, you need to try these. They\u2019re nothing like the reheated carnival ones that have been sitting out waiting to be ordered for who knows how long. These are what corn dogs are supposed to be. You can also get these at the Corn Dog Castle in California Adventure, but I prefer the simplicity of the Little Red Wagon!<\/p>\n

      And if you\u2019re craving corn dogs when you leave (I promise you will be), you can make your own version with this copycat recipe<\/a> at home!<\/p>\n

      One hint \u2013 if you are craving the cornbread<\/a> (the best part of the corndog) but don\u2019t want a hot dog, Corn Dog Castle also offers both the corn dog and a cheese stick option, which is literally a corndog that has a cheddar cheese stick in the middle instead of a hot dog. It\u2019s rich but amazing.<\/p>\n

      If you get nothing else at Disneyland, get a corn dog<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

      Coconut Matterhorn Macaroon at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      It\u2019s shaped like the Matterhorn ride, it\u2019s soft, and it\u2019s delicious assuming you like coconut. If you don\u2019t, skip it and go with the raspberry rose macaron instead. The matterhorn macaroon is a macaroon done right \u2013 crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside.<\/p>\n

      Make it at home with this copycat recipe<\/a>!<\/p>\n

      Raspberry Rose Macaron at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Not to be confused with the coconut macaroon mentioned above, this is a play on the French macarons, and a delicious one at that. Out of all of the treats we tried during our visit, the raspberry rose macaron was our favorite. Two raspberry Mickey shaped macarons are sandwiched with fresh raspberries and a raspberry flavored filling.<\/p>\n

      We got three of these during our visit, and they were just as good every time. I just wish they offered these at Walt Disney World too!<\/p>\n

      Jolly Holiday Combo at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      If you thought we were done with the Jolly Holiday, you were wrong. If you\u2019re craving something crunchy and savory, the toasted cheese is a great go-to option. They somehow manage to keep the cheese ooey goeey while keeping the bread nice and crunchy.<\/p>\n

      Get the combo and it comes with a bowl of tomato basil soup! And you really can\u2019t go wrong with grilled cheese and tomato cheese!<\/p>\n

      Fried Chicken at The Plaza Inn<\/h3>\n

      On the other side of Main Street U.S.A. is the iconic Plaza Inn. In the mornings they do one of the most fun character breakfasts we\u2019ve ever been to but for lunch and dinner, they serve up infamous fried chicken and mashed potatoes<\/a>. I know this doesn\u2019t sound like a snack and it\u2019s not if you order a full meal.<\/p>\n

      But here\u2019s the secret \u2013 go in and order a kids meal. You get one piece of chicken, mashed potatoes, and veggies (or a biscuit) for under $7. It\u2019s a great way to sample fried chicken worthy of its cult following .<\/p>\n

      I personally didn\u2019t care for the mashed potatoes (I think the gravy had an oniony flavor) but the fried chicken was spot on. How they keep it crispy and delicious while sitting under a buffet style warmer is beyond me.<\/p>\n

      Filled Pretzels at Refreshment Corner Cafe<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Forget a standard Mickey Pretzel (or just get both!) and try a cream cheese filled pretzel instead. Or if you\u2019re looking for something spicy, I know some people like the jalapeno filled one too! <\/p>\n

      Seasonal Sundaes at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor<\/h3>\n

      I\u2019m always up for ice cream but the real reason this makes the list is that Gibson Girl (and Clarabelle\u2019s in California Adventure) always have fun seasonal sundaes that make for a delicious dessert!<\/p>\n

      For example, right now there\u2019s a rest in chocolate sundae for Halloween, a chocolate chip cookie sundae, a firehouse Dalmatian mint sundae, and a strawberry street car sundae.<\/p>\n

      Opt for the sundae instead of an ice cream cone and plan on sharing it! <\/p>\n

      Disneyland Food in Adventureland<\/h2>\n

      Just around to the right of Main Street is Adventureland where you\u2019ll find Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones, Tarzan\u2019s Treehouse, and a couple of our family\u2019s favorite snack options!<\/p>\n

      Jungle Skewers at Bengal Barbecue\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      This is one of the very few healthy options on this list and luckily it\u2019s a great one. Bengal Barbecue serves up all sorts of skewer options from a hot and spicy beef to a Polynesian chicken. Plus, a vegetable skewer if you\u2019re just looking for some yummy veggies. <\/p>\n

      Dole Whip, Floats, and Swirls at Tiki Juice Bar or Tropical Hideaway<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      If you haven\u2019t heard about Dole Whips by now, you probably haven\u2019t looked at anything Disney in the past ten years. Dole Whips are basically pineapple soft serve that can be serve with pineapple juice or without. They are absolutely delicious and deserving of the crazy following they have from people across the world.<\/p>\n

      The only problem is that because everyone loves them, there can be an extremely long wait to get one at the Tiki Juice Bar. Disneyland recently opened Tropical Hideaway and it\u2019s one of my favorite additions ever.<\/p>\n

      They serve not only regular pineapple Dole Whip but also different flavors of swirl. I\u2019ve seen everything from raspberry to mango, pineapple, and more. So far they\u2019ve all been delicious! <\/p>\n

      Disneyland Food to Try in Frontierland<\/h2>\n

      Frontierland is filled with western grub, delicious ice cream, and some of my favorite rides in the entire park! Definitely don\u2019t miss these delicious eats!<\/p>\n

      Ice Cream Sundaes at the Golden Horseshoe<\/h3>\n

      The Golden Horseshoe is regularly featuring new speciality sundaes! I\u2019ve had everything from a loop de loop sundae with Fruity Pebble churros to a standard chocolate chip cookie sundae (the cookie one was better!).<\/p>\n

      The menu is always changing but it\u2019s worth checking out whenever you\u2019re there!<\/p>\n

      Disneyland Food in New Orleans Square<\/h2>\n

      New Orleans Square was one of my favorite parts of Disneyland because of the fun theming and great food. I wish we\u2019d had the chance to spend more time there but with only two real rides (Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean), we were in an out with our food way too fast. <\/p>\n

      The food is if you couldn\u2019t guess, New Orleans themed, and delicious. And with Tiana\u2019s Palace now open, the food choices are even better! <\/p>\n

      Mickey Beignets at the Mint Julep Bar (or Cafe Orleans)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Out of all of the foods on my need to try while I\u2019m at Disneyland list, I was the most excited about the beignets. They were yummy but kind of a let down because I was expecting something more like the ones you get on the Disney Wonder in Tiana\u2019s Place<\/a> or at Port Orleans at Walt Disney World Resort.<\/p>\n

      Those ones just seemed a bit airier and crisp than the ones from Mint Julep Bar. The Disneyland ones were flatter and seemed a bit more like just eating sweet bread, not fried sweet bread.<\/p>\n

      That being said, they\u2019re still good and a must-try when you\u2019re at Disneyland. I highly recommend getting a mixed bag with at least one regular powdered sugar variety and whatever the seasonal option is.<\/p>\n

      They also come in seasonal varieties and I\u2019ve found the seasonal ones to be ever better normally!<\/p>\n

      Disneyland typically serves seasonal beignets alongside the regular powdered sugar ones. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

      Monte Cristo Sandwich at Cafe Orleans <\/h3>\n

      Cafe Orleans is one of the only sit down restaurant I\u2019ve included and it serves all sorts of delicious New Orleans fare including a full monte cristo sandwich served with parmesan-garlic pommes frites.<\/p>\n

      The Monte Cristo when done well is a ham and turkey sandwich fried in light batter, dusted with powdered sugar, and served with a berry puree for dipping. It\u2019s light, crispy, a bit sweet, and absolutely delicious. <\/p>\n

      House-Filled Beignet at Tiana\u2019s Palace<\/h3>\n

      Tiana\u2019s Palace is one of the newest quick service restaurant at Disneyland and a popular one, for good reason! The filled beignets are totally different than the Mickey beignets above and definitely worth trying! <\/p>\n

      They typically offer a lemon filled one but often have seasonal options as well like a strawberry pie filled beignet coming for Disneyland Halloween Time<\/a>!<\/p>\n

      The Best Disneyland Food in Critter Country<\/h2>\n

      I\u2019m not sure if it\u2019s because it\u2019s way out of the way of the rest of the park or what but Critter Country was pretty much dead when we visited.<\/p>\n

      We could\u2019ve walked on and off the Winnie the Pooh ride ten times in a row if we wanted to. While the rides in Critter Country aren\u2019t amazing, Pooh\u2019s Corner is worth the walk to this far side of the park.<\/p>\n

      Tigger Tail at Pooh\u2019s Corner<\/h3>\n

      I\u2019ve seen and and eaten a lot of dipped marshmallows in my days. None of them compare to the Tigger Tail for one reason \u2013 the Tigger Tail adds a sweet honey type layer between the marshmallow and the coating.<\/p>\n

      That alone made the Tigger Tail the best covered marshmallow I\u2019ve ever tried. Not to mention it\u2019s cute too!<\/p>\n

      Hunny Pot at Pooh\u2019s Corner<\/h3>\n

      Okay, I\u2019ll be honest \u2013 this one is mostly just because this rice krispy treat decorated like a honey pot is cute.<\/p>\n

      But it is delicious as well like any rice krispy treat dipped in chocolate should be. I\u2019m actually going to be doing an at-home version of this one soon so make sure to check back!<\/p>\n

      Other Bakery Items at Pooh\u2019s Corner\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      While you\u2019re there, you might as well grab a couple of other treats for the road. Three other standouts we tried during our visit were the s\u2019mores bar (so good!), peanut butter bar, and churro toffee. <\/p>\n

      Speciality Funnel Cakes at Hungry Bear Restaurant<\/h3>\n

      Hungry Bear regularly has a regular funnel cake and some other speciality funnel cake. I know people rave about the funnel cakes, but I personally haven\u2019t loved them. So I\u2019d say the funnel cakes are a hit or miss for me but if something seasonal sounds great, it\u2019s worth a shot! <\/p>\n

      If Hungry Bear isn\u2019t open, Stage Door Cafe also offers funnel cakes for your sweet tooth! <\/p>\n

      Best Disneyland Food in Fantasyland<\/h2>\n

      Next up, we\u2019re heading to Fantasyland! There are a couple of main eating options as well as plenty of snack carts to grab the standard popcorn, turkey legs, Mickey pretzels, and of course \u2013 churros!<\/p>\n

      Garlic Cheesy Pretzel Bread at Edelweiss Snacks<\/h3>\n

      I happened upon this delicious snack just after they started offering it and then it went absolutely viral all over social media so what used to be kind of a secret is not so much anymore. <\/p>\n

      It\u2019s a bread that seems pretty straightforward but some sort of Disney magic makes it just absolutely delicious. It\u2019s like if garlic bread and a soft pretzel had a baby in the best way. <\/p>\n

      Definitely grab this either at Edelweiss Snacks or now it\u2019s also being offered at Maurice\u2019s Treats! <\/p>\n

      Pastries at Maurice\u2019s Treats<\/h3>\n

      Maurice\u2019s Treats is hidden in a little section right by the Royal Hall and easy to miss if you don\u2019t have princesses interested in the Royal Hall. And you don\u2019t want to miss it.<\/p>\n

      I always recommend checking out Maurice\u2019s because their menu changes often but most of the time, there\u2019s something worth trying there! <\/p>\n

      Twists, croissants, and any sort of bread option is normally a good choice! <\/p>\n

      Grey Stuff Gateau from Red Rose Tavern<\/h3>\n

      The Red Rose Tavern offers just one dessert \u2013 grey stuff gateau. Try the grey stuff, it\u2019s delicious. <\/p>\n

      It\u2019s basically an Oreo mousse on top of a sugar cookie. That\u2019s a really simple explanation, just know that if you like Oreo flavoring and the texture of frosting, you\u2019ll probably like this as well!<\/p>\n

      And if you love the grey stuff, make sure to try this copycat grey stuff recipe<\/a> at home!<\/p>\n

      Disneyland Tomorrowland Food<\/h2>\n

      We\u2019re ending our Disneyland food guide in Tomorrowland and to be honest, you could probably skip this one. But I wanted to add something on here in Tomorrowland in case you find yourself in Tomorrowland and in need of a sweet treat or snack!<\/p>\n

      Seasonal Parfait at Galactic Grill<\/h3>\n

      The Galactic Grill offers different flavored parfaits throughout the year. Right now they have a Darth by Chocolate parfait that\u2019s one of my favorites! <\/p>\n

      Parfaits can be hit or miss for me but I\u2019ve been getting this one during Oogie Boogie Bash for the past few years and love it. It has layers of chocolate pudding, red velvet cake, chocolate mousse, and chocolate Oreos. It\u2019s definitely worth trying at least once! <\/p>\n

      Disneyland Food to Try in A Galaxy\u2019s Edge<\/h2>\n

      A Galaxy\u2019s Edge is the newest land to Disneyland and is full of all sorts of food you might find in galaxy far far away! Trying all the eats is one of my favorite things to do in Star Wars Land!<\/p>\n

      Popcorn at Kat Saka\u2019s Kettle<\/h3>\n

      If you like popcorn, Kat Saka\u2019s Kettle regularly have unique popcorn options to try. When A Galaxy\u2019s Edge opened it was an outpost popcorn that was sweet and spicy (pictured below) that was my absolute favorite.<\/p>\n

      Recently they\u2019ve had a chocolate option and I think now it\u2019s some sort of buttered popcorn option and a cajun seasoned popcorn option. It\u2019s definitely worth checking out to see if the seasonal flavor strikes your fancy! <\/p>\n

      Ronto Wrap at Ronto Roasters<\/h3>\n

      My other favorite thing in A Galaxy\u2019s Edge are the ronto wraps at ronto roasters. Disneyland only has one lunch\/dinner option that\u2019s roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, sauce, and slaw wrapped in a warm pita but Disney World actually now has a chicken + pesto one that I like even more!<\/p>\n

      And the breakfast one is a real winner with eggs, sausage, and cheese all in the same delicious warm pita. Really the pita wrap itself is the winner! Definitely a better option for a quick snack than the other Galaxy\u2019s Edge food options!<\/p>\n

      Best Toontown Food at Disneyland<\/h2>\n

      Toowntown used to feel like a throwaway land for me at Disneyland but they redid it, and the glow-up is a great one including adding some fantastic food options! So it may be far back in the park, but I highly recommend at least stopping in! <\/p>\n

      Pizza Flop-Over at Cafe Daisy<\/h3>\n

      This is one of those hidden gems that shouldn\u2019t be as good as it is. There are pepperoni and cheese pizza flop-over options and it\u2019s kind of like an open faced pizza sandwich but just absolutely delicious.<\/p>\n

      It\u2019s honestly one of my favorite snacks in the park and one that\u2019s both kid and adult friendly!<\/p>\n

      Grab the goody goody donuts for dessert \u2013 they\u2019re great when they\u2019re fresh! <\/p>\n

      Minnie\u2019s Mini Corn Dogs at Cafe Daisy<\/h3>\n

      Another big hit for us at Cafe Daisy was the mini corn dogs. They reminded me a lot of the infamous mini corn dogs at Casey\u2019s in Magic Kingdom and will definitely be a huge hit with the kids.<\/p>\n

      Are they a must-try? Probably not, but if you want another food to try \u2013 they\u2019re a classic for good reason! <\/p>\n

      A Guide to Disney California Adventure Food<\/h2>\n

      If I was writing about Walt Disney World food, I would likely put this section into another post. But here\u2019s the thing, the two Disneyland parks are so close that most people do both parks in one day, especially if they\u2019re using the MaxPass options!<\/p>\n

      So I want to include them both in one post, the ultimate guide to Disneyland food! That way you don\u2019t have to hop back and forth between posts as you\u2019re planning out what to eat at Disneyland.<\/p>\n

      Because Disney California Adventure is so much smaller than Disneyland, this section is also smaller but have no fear \u2013 the options are still incredibly delicious!<\/p>\n

      Disneyland Food to Try on Buena Vista Street<\/h2>\n

      When you first walk into Disney California Adventure, you walk onto Buena Vista Street. It\u2019s filled with cute shops and of course good food. That\u2019s where we\u2019ll start this walk through since that\u2019s where most of you (unless you\u2019re coming from the Grand Californian) will start this eating extravaganza anyway!<\/p>\n

      Double Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae from Carthay Circle<\/h3>\n

      I\u2019m a sucker for a good brownie sundae so when I saw this ice cream sundae on the menu at Carthay Circle, I was all in. Chocolate ice cream, brownie chunks, chocolate fudge, and candied almonds make this one of the best chocolate sundaes I\u2019ve ever had.<\/p>\n

      Hand-Dipped Ice Cream Bars from Clarabelle\u2019s<\/h3>\n

      You can get a standard ice cream cone in the Cozy Cone Motel or other places throughout the parks but it\u2019s only at Clarabelle\u2019s that you can create your very own hand-dipped ice cream cone. Pick your flavor, pick your coating, and pick your toppings!<\/p>\n

      I went with a vanilla ice cream bar dipped in milk chocolate and covered in the works \u2013 all the toppings they offer. I had no idea chocolate sprinkles, regular sprinkles, pop rocks, and chocolate chips could be so good together. I\u2019d opt for this kind of ice cream bar over typical Mickey ones every single time.<\/p>\n

      Disneyland Food in Hollywood Land<\/h2>\n

      Hollywood Land is just to the left of Buena Vista street and really just a place to wander, see characters, and enjoy good food.<\/p>\n

      Funnel Cake Fries at Award Weiners<\/h3>\n

      Okay so here\u2019s the thing about funnel cake fries \u2013 they can be amazing or they can be terrible. If you get them hot and fresh, they\u2019re crisp and amazing. The first time I had them they were amazing and they got added to my top 15 list.<\/p>\n

      The last time I had them, they were awful. Like couldn\u2019t even bite them awful. When you order, make sure to ask for fresh funnel cake fries (currently serving carrot cake fries) and be willing to wait for fresh ones. Or skip them \u2013 they\u2019re not worth it unless they\u2019re fresh.<\/p>\n

      Speciality Desserts at Schmoozies<\/h3>\n

      Schmoozie\u2019s is always putting out some sort of speciality desserts, milkshakes, and drinks. A few years ago they had a delicious raspberry ice cream whoopie pie (still miss it!) and a strawberry lavender lemonade<\/a>.<\/p>\n

      Most recently they had a Mickey Mouse shake and an Ursula shake. The shakes are hit or miss for me but they\u2019re still fun to try! <\/p>\n

      Another great place to get speciality shakes is Smokejumpers Grill in Grizzly Peak \u2013 they also often have fun non-alcoholic drink options! <\/p>\n

      Disneyland Food at Cars Land<\/h2>\n

      Cars Land, Cars Land, Cars Land. I can\u2019t say enough good things about Cars Land. One of our favorite rides in either parks, really fun food, and the best theming out of any of the lands across the parks. I\u2019ll save my gushing for another day.<\/p>\n

      One of the coolest things about Cars Land is the Cozy Cone Motel. It\u2019s five cones that all serve food and drinks, and the best part is that they all serve different menus. Totally different menus that are all \u201ccone\u201d themed. Let me break down the cones for you real quick then I\u2019ll tell you which things were my favorite! Each cone also has a fun speciality drink that pairs nicely with that cone\u2019s<\/p>\n
